Create privacy at the entrance
The foyer introduces a transition before the main living area. New interior walls and the room addition give guests a choice of more intimate gathering spaces within the existing home.
Keep the garden part of daily life
Covered outdoor space near the living area and pergola elements extend the connection to the garden. The illustrated plan distinguishes the addition, foyer and hall from the retained rooms; planting and finishes remain presentation studies.
Work with the existing roof
Retaining the roof form shaped the addition's geometry and runoff strategy. Studio Bluework developed the residential drawings and coordinated with the owner, City and structural engineer. The September 2025 approved design includes new roof crickets; the images do not establish as-built drainage or final inspection.
